📜 Scripture
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
God is not distant from pain—He is drawn to it.
Throughout Scripture, we see a consistent pattern: God moves toward the broken, the rejected, and the vulnerable. His heart is not only for worship, but also for restoration.
King David, who wrote this psalm, understood both suffering and God’s nearness. He reveals a powerful truth:
👉 God does not ignore brokenness—He responds to it.
This is central to the mission of Life Creation Mission International. Whether through children’s homes, community outreach, or ministry support, LCMI reflects the heart of God by reaching those in need.
Compassion is not just a feeling—it is a calling.
Jesus demonstrated this repeatedly:
- He touched the untouchable
- He fed the hungry
- He welcomed the outcast
To follow Christ is to carry that same heart.
In a world where many are hurting silently, believers are called to:
- Notice the overlooked
- Support the vulnerable
- Restore dignity through love
This is how the gospel becomes visible.
🔍 Reflection
- Do you see people the way God sees them?
- Who around you needs compassion, not judgment?
🙏 Prayer
Father, give me a heart like Yours—full of compassion for the broken and the hurting. Help me to be sensitive to the needs around me and bold enough to respond. Use me as a vessel of Your love and restoration. Amen.
